SMARTVAULT

Due to the world wide increase in terrorist activities and industrial espionage the requirement for Government and private sector organisations to provide a secure area for storage, protection of IT Server Equipment and a safe haven has increased. Our SmartVaults are usually constructed within the average office environment as an imperative to protect staff and other valuable assets.

Our SmartVault provides a high level of physical security to such assets and is suitable for installation in leased premises creating a minimal impact on the structure and hence limiting restoration costs at the expiration of the lease. The SmartVault can then be dismantled and relocated to new premises at a relatively small cost.

The SmartVault complies with AS 3555.1-2003 Building Elements – testing and rating for intruder resistance (Level 5) - Intruder resistant panels, and has been tested by the appropriate Australian Government Authorities. It has also been approved and endorsed by SCEC and is included in the Australian Government Security Equipment Catalogue.

The SmartVault is a modular pre-finished panelled system that is, in essence, a true demountable being capable, with minimum effort, to be disassembled and relocated economically. An average 9 panel x 7 panel room can usually be assembled in less than 5 working days and disassembled in a day.

Following is a brief technical resume of the SmartVault:

  • Each panel size is a nominal 2415mm high x 600 mm wide with ceiling panels fabricated to suit the width of the room. Where the width of the room exceeds 5 panels a centre beam is installed. This methodology allows for a great deal of flexibility in design and ease of access to the most difficult sites and restrictive goods lifts.
  • The exterior and internal surfaces are exterior grade plywood.  This material was selected to provide a smooth face finish that can be readily painted or lined with gyprock or wallpaper if preferred.
  • The SmartVault is fixed to the floor using a purpose made floor channel which is bolted to the slab.
  • All installed panels are tamper proof.
  • Should a client require a bullet resistant vault to enhance its use as a safe haven we are able to cater up to Level G2 within the existing design.
  • The Door opening is formed ready for the installation of the standard Vault Door. However, we have a variety of door types available to us and are able to offer varying levels of security tailored to meet our client’s needs.
  • Penetrations are pre installed during manufacture to cover our client’s requirements for power, data, fire detection, airconditioning (ducted or split systems), etc.
  • All steel members are pre-finished in inorganic grey zinc metal primer ready for site applied paint finish if required.
  • The assembled SmartVault has a very high level of sound attenuation.

All SmartVaults are preassembled prior to despatch in order to minimise assembly time on site and ensure that no quality issues arise when they are being installed in sometimes remote, hostile and third world environments. All SmartVaults are then disassembled, flatpacked and containerised before forwarding to their destination.

The height of panels can be increased or decreased to suit individual customers but it is necessary due to weight and assembly considerations that the nominal panel width of 600mm not be exceeded.

Our SmartVault can be adapted for external use and is mounted on a slab, lined externally with a moisture resistant barrier and clad and sealed with appropriate weather proof materials.

SMARTVAULT  WALL

Another option for public or private sector organisations is to actually fortify an area by enclosing it with SmartVault panels within their existing premises.

Our panels are able to be tailored to suit varying heights and installed from slab to slab in order to create secure areas within floors or even secure whole floors of buildings themselves. Penetrations can be included in the same way as those in the standard  SmartVaults.

Our assembly system allows for walls to run between columns or at random angles throughout a floor.

One or more Vault Doors are generally fitted in this scenario.
