SPEAKSAFE ROOM

Despite advances in information technology and digital security, some commercial in confidence (secret) information must be discussed person to person.

A SpeakSafe Room (SSR) is the most recent introduction to our range of secure rooms. It has been acoustically tested and certified by independent Sound Engineers using sophisticated sound analysing equipment to comply with the most stringent Sound Transfer Coefficient ratings that classify such rooms. Our SSR is included in the Australian Government Security Equipment Catalogue and is currently the only such Room endorsed by the Australian Government Security Construction Equipment Committee (SCEC).

The SSR is a modular pre-finished panelled system which is capable, with minimal effort, of being disassembled and relocated economically. An average five metre x three metre room can usually be assembled in three working days and disassembled in less than two days.

Following is a brief technical resume of the Demountable SpeakSafe Room:

• For ease of handling and maximisation of off the shelf materials use each panel size is a nominal 2400mm high x 1200 mm wide with ceiling panels fabricated to suit the width of the room. Where the width of the room exceeds our module size a beam is engineered into the roof system. Panels can, however, be fabricated to meet customer’s individual requirements upon request. This methodology allows for a great deal of flexibility of design and facilitates access to the most difficult sites and restrictive goods lifts.
• The exterior surface has a smooth face finish and generally leaves the factory sealed ready for paint or any other applied surface such as Plasterboard, Laminate or Wallpaper which may be applied at the client’s discretion.
• The interior wall surfaces are a permanent satin finish which requires minimal maintenance and the floor is carpeted.
• The SSR is supported off the floor for acoustic reasons and to assist ongoing inspections of the room surfaces to ensure that the integrity of the room has not been compromised.
• A sound attenuated door with a three point locking system is standard.
• Penetrations are provided to suit individual customer’s requirements and generally  include for lighting, power, data and ventilation.
• All steel members are pre-finished in inorganic grey zinc metal primer ready for site applied paint finish if required if specified by the client.
• Specially fabricated supply and return airconditioning ducts are provided. The SSR can be fitted directly to a ducted system or to a stand alone split airconditioning system if desired.
• Details of the Field STC (Sound Transmission Class) of the room may be provided upon request.

Rooms and their components are expertly packed and shipped in a container or containers to minimise the risk of loss or damage.

MOBILE SPEAKSAFE ROOM

We recognise that some customer’s may require a mobile SpeakSafe Room that can be redeployed between different sites (or even countries) and have developed a methodology to utilise a shipping container (either 20 ft or 40 ft) for this purpose.

All electrical and airconditioning requirements for the room can be fully housed within the container if necessary.
